The Strongest
Club The Strongest (STR)
Overview
The Strongest, one of Bolivia's most decorated clubs, is based in La Paz. Founded in 1908, the Tigre plays at Estadio Hernando Siles at 3,637 meters altitude, sharing this stadium with its great rival Bolívar. This exceptional altitude constitutes a major advantage for the club against visiting teams.
With over 15 Bolivian championships, The Strongest rivals Bolívar for national football supremacy. The club has also participated in numerous Copa Libertadores editions, achieving several remarkable campaigns. The Aurinegros (yellow and black) possess a passionate supporter base that regularly fills the stadium during major encounters.
The Strongest maintains Bolivian football's most intense rivalry with Bolívar. These paceño clásicos paralyze La Paz and create an electric atmosphere. The club maintains excellent youth training and continues to export its best players to Argentina, Brazil and occasionally Europe.
