Leeds United
Leeds United FC (LEE)
Overview
Leeds United Football Club, a Yorkshire giant, possesses a glorious history despite their current absence from Premier League. Founded in 1919, the Whites play at the mythical Elland Road and wear all-white colors. The club dominated English football in the 1960s-70s under legendary manager Don Revie, establishing themselves as one of Europe's elite clubs.
Leeds United won three English championships, one FA Cup and two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups (UEFA Cup predecessor). The Peacocks also reached the Champions League final in 1975. After bankruptcy in 2003 and 16 years in lower divisions, Leeds returned to Premier League in 2020 before dropping back down in 2023. The club maintains a massive and passionate supporter base despite adversity.
The Whites maintain fierce rivalries with Manchester United and Yorkshire clubs. Leeds represents the pride of a working-class city that lives for its club. Elland Road, a legendary fortress of English football, still vibrates to 'Marching on Together'. The club works tirelessly to return to the elite and reclaim their former glory.
