Overview
Independiente Santa Fe, one of Colombia's most decorated clubs, represents Bogotá in the Colombian championship. Founded in 1941, the Cardinal club (red and white) plays matches at Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín. The Cardenales or Leones (Lions) possess one of Colombian football's richest trophy cabinets with numerous national titles.
Santa Fe has won several Colombian championships and distinguished itself in Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana. The Bogotá club distinguishes itself through its philosophy based on technical and offensive play typical of Colombian football. El Campín, legendary stadium shared with Millonarios, has hosted numerous glorious pages of South American football.
Los Leones maintain a fierce rivalry with Millonarios within the Clásico Bogotano, the Colombian capital's most important derby.
