Overview
Club Deportivo Palestino is a unique club in world football. Founded in 1920 in Santiago, Chile by the Palestinian immigrant community, the club represents the Palestinian diaspora in South America and embodies a strong identity symbol.
Playing at the Estadio Municipal de La Cisterna, Los Árabes or Tinos wear the red, green and white colors of the Palestinian flag. The club is one of the few in the world to directly represent a nation through its name and symbols, creating a deep emotional connection with the Palestinian cause.
Palestino has won several Chilean national titles and participated multiple times in the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana. The club particularly distinguished itself in the 2010s by regularly qualifying for international competitions.
