Overview
Caracas Fútbol Club, known simply as Caracas FC, is Venezuela's most decorated and popular club. Founded in 1967, the club represents the Venezuelan capital and embodies national football excellence.
Los Rojos del Ávila (Reds of Ávila, referring to Caracas' emblematic mountain) or simply Los Rojos play at the Estadio Olímpico de la UCV, a mythical 25,000-seat stadium built for the 1951 Bolivarian Games and located on the Central University of Venezuela campus.
Caracas FC boasts the most impressive trophy cabinet in Venezuelan football with 12 national championships won. The club has also shined on the continental stage, regularly participating in the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana.
The club maintains a historic rivalry with Deportivo Táchira, giving rise to the Clásico de Venezuela, the country's most important derby. Confrontations between these two Venezuelan football giants captivate the entire nation.
Among the club's emblematic figures are Juan Arango, Venezuela's greatest player in history who shined in the Bundesliga, as well as Giancarlo Maldonado and several internationals who have worn the club's red colors with pride.
