Overview

Club Atlético Talleres is one of Córdoba's emblematic clubs, Argentina's second city. Founded in 1913, Talleres takes its name from the railway workshops (talleres in Spanish) where its founders worked.

The T or Albiazules play at Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes, formerly known as Chateau Carreras. This massive 57,000-capacity venue hosted World Cup 1978 matches and offers an impressive setting for club encounters.

While Talleres has never won an Argentine first division championship, the club marked history by winning the Nacional in 1977 (season's second tournament). The club has also distinguished itself in Copa Libertadores, reaching quarter-finals several times.

Talleres maintains a historic rivalry with Córdoba's other major club, Belgrano, giving rise to the Clásico Cordobés, one of Argentina's most passionate derbies outside Buenos Aires.

The club has seen several talented players evolve like Tomás Carlovich, considered one of Argentine football's greatest unconsecrated talents, as well as more recently Nahuel Bustos and Juan Cruz Komar.
