Isaak Touré's troubled journey continues, this time away from the football pitch. According to Le Parisien, the FC Lorient defender was stopped by police in Versailles on Saturday while driving a Lamborghini Urus with an invalid driving license.

Zero Points on His License

During the routine traffic stop, officers discovered that the 22-year-old's driving license was no longer valid as he had lost all his points. The former Olympique de Marseille prospect was subsequently taken to the Versailles police station for questioning.

This off-field incident adds to an already difficult period for the tall defender, who stands at an imposing 2.06 meters (6'9"). The Franco-Ivorian's season at Lorient has been marked by struggles both physical and professional.

A Career in Limbo

Touré has yet to play a single minute in Ligue 1 this season. After recovering from two serious injuries—a cruciate ligament rupture and an ankle sprain—the defender has only managed three appearances with Lorient's reserve team in National 2.

His coach, Olivier Pantaloni, has been clear about his situation. In September, the manager stated it was "impossible" for Touré to be considered "given his physical condition, both regarding his knee and the weight he has gained." In October, Pantaloni reiterated: "He needs to be in shape, mentally ready, and want to play with us."

A Fallen Wonderkid

It's a stark contrast to the promise Touré showed when Pablo Longoria signed him for €5.5 million from Le Havre in 2022. The defender was supposed to be the future of Marseille's backline, but he made only five brief appearances under Igor Tudor before being loaned to Auxerre.

In 2023, OM sold him to Lorient for €8 million, who then loaned him to Udinese last season where he played 12 Serie A matches and scored once. Now back in Brittany and under contract until 2028, Touré finds himself in competition with Bamo Méïté—ironically, another former OM player now on loan at Lorient.

Despite his difficulties, the player had recently expressed his determination to bounce back, saying he was "aware of having disappointed" and felt "eager for revenge." This latest incident, however, represents another setback in what has become a challenging chapter of his career.
