Arsenal have been handed a major boost ahead of their clash with Manchester United as Thomas Partey is set to be available for selection.
The midfielder, who has started just six Premier League games this season due to injury, was forced off in the second half of the 3-1 win over Southampton on Tuesday.
Emile Smith Rowe was also substituted in the second half of that match due to injury.
But according to Goal, Partey has ‘recovered’ well since Arsenal’s win at St Mary’s and the midfielder is confident that he will be fit for the Gunners’ clash with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
In his press conference on Thursday, Arteta revealed that Partey was suffering from ‘discomfort
They had some discomforts in different parts, Thomas and Emile, and we will have to see how they evolve,’ said the Arsenal manager. ‘We still have some days until the game but not long so let’s see how they recover

Arteta is also expected to include new loan signing Martin Odegaard in his squad as the midfielder has trained with his new teammates following his arrival from Real Madrid this week.
Meanwhile, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has returned to London after missing Arsenal’s last two games due to health issues with his mother.
However, Arteta is unsure whether the Arsenal captain will be available for the fixture against United.
Things are looking better at the moment, but we are going to have to wait and see,’ said the Arsenal manager. ‘He is our captain and one of the most important players.
‘We are doing everything we can to have him as a quick as possible – but understanding that he has been through difficult days, that he had to support his family and we were here to support him as well with the time that he needed to get that support
