The midfielder has been linked with a move to north London this summer as Mikel Arteta is looking to bolster the midfield
Arsenal are looking to strengthen their midfield this summer, and Renato Sanches is among their list of targets.
They’ve been linked to a number of midfielders, including Sassuolo’s Manuel Locatelli, and Anderlecht’s young star, Albert Sambi Lokonga, the latter of whom is expected to sign for the Gunners in the near future in a deal which could rise to £18million, as football.london understands.
L’Equipe claim that the north London outfit, as well as Premier League rivals Liverpool, are very interested in signing Sanches who was impressive for Portugal at this summer’s European Championships.
Although there has been interest, nothing concrete has implied that the Portuguese is keen on a move to the Emirates this window – until now.
Arsenal fans have noticed something that the midfielder did on Twitter, and it’s fair to say that they’re excited by his actions.
One fan noticed that Sanches had liked a tweet from his former Lille teammate, Gabriel Magalhães. The tweet claimed that London is Red, something Arsenal fans like to brag about based on the club’s tremendous history.
And now, some fans have suggested that it is a sign he could be on his way to the Emirates. Take a look at what’s been said on Twitter.

@afczak said: “omds sign him now.”
@gunnersan4 said: “Renato Sanches or locatelli. Pick one.”

According to the CIES Football Observatory, Sanches is currently valued between €15m-€20m (£12m-£17m)

However, it may take an offer of more than the midfielder’s valuation to capture Lille’s attention.
Arsenal and Lille have developed a close relationship in recent times with Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel both arriving at the Emirates Stadium from the Ligue 1 side in the past two summer windows.
So, perhaps another deal be on the cards, we’ll be sure to keep an eye out to see how things unfold.
