Arsenal supplemented Mikel Arteta’s squad with four new faces in the summer transfer window, but not all have made an instant impact at the Emirates.

While Gabriel has been a revelation at centre-back and Thomas Partey has impressed in his short time in midfield, questions are being asked of Willian given he is yet to score for the club since joining on a free transfer from Chelsea. The jury is also very much out on second-choice goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson.

However, there have been suggestions the Gunners, currently 11th in the Premier League table, could be in the market for further additions in January.

Here is the latest news from around the continent as two big European names find themselves linked with Arsenal as Mikel Arteta’s side consider their options.

Real Madrid ‘waiting’ for Arsenal to enter Isco race

Real Madrid will let Isco leave the Bernabeu if a suitable offer is received, according to reports from Spain.

The 28-year-old has started just three times in La Liga this season, and hasn’t played a single minute in the Champions League

As reported by El Confidencial, via Sport Witness , Everton are in the mix for the former Malaga man, who moved to Madrid during Carlo Ancelotti’s spell in charge

Yet despite suggestions of a €20m offer in January from the Merseyside club, the latest report claims the reigning Spanish champions are hoping Arsenal enter the race.

Isco is out of contract in 2022 and a Winter departure would allow Zinedine Zidane’s side to recoup a good fee for the Spain international before he enters the last 12 months of his deal.

Whether Arsenal would feel the need to move for him, though, is another question entirely.

Eriksen ‘not a priority’ for Arsenal

Christian Eriksen has been linked with a surprise return to the Premier League with Arsenal, having struggled for game-time since leaving rivals Tottenham Hotspur in January for Inter Milan.

However, he is understood not to be a priority for the Gunners.

That’s according to FcInterNews, via Inside Futbol , with Arsenal thought to be monitoring Red Bull Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai and continuing to keep tabs on Houssem Aouar of Lyon after failing with a summer approach.

Eriksen has made just 15 starts for Inter after joining the club 10 months ago, with only four of those coming this season.

However, he remains in fine form at international level despite his lack of football in Serie A, scoring five times in his last five appearances for Denmark, including a winner against England in October.

Arsenal target former Man City youngster

Arsenal’s youth recruitment drive is expected to continue in January, with the club reportedly close to a deal for Hertha Berlin defender Omar Rekik.

The teenager previously spent time on the books of Manchester City – where his older brother Karim made a handful of first-team appearances – and has been playing for Hertha’s reserve team in the German fourth tier.

According to , Arsenal were close to a deal for Rekik before October’s transfer deadline, with the report stating the Gunners will loan him back to his current club if a deal is completed in the new year.

Rekik, whose brother is a Dutch international, has been called up to the senior Tunisia national squad but is yet to make his debut for Mondher Kebaier’s national team.
