In a recent report, Marca claimed that Real Madrid are unwilling to spend €60m for Palmeiras whizkid Endrick. It has been mentioned that Los Blancos consider paying such an amount ‘disproportionate’ for the Brazilian centre-forward.
Endrick’s Excellent Rise In Brazilian Football
Endrick has come through the youth ranks of Palmeiras and has successfully established himself as a top performer for their Under-20 team recently. However, he is yet to earn a senior appearance for the club. The Brazilian prospect has already banged in six goals in seven matches for them in the Copinha.
The 16-year-old has showcased that he has what it takes to become a deadly finisher in front of the opposition goal. He has even been productive on the international stage with the Brazilian Under-17 team as he found the back of the net on five occasions in four matches for them thus far.
Endrick has got the potential to follow in the footsteps of his countryman, Neymar Jr. and be successful at a European club. However, he is still quite inexperienced at the highest level, so it remains to be seen whether he can be nurtured into a top talent in the future.
Should Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Change His Stance On Endrick?
Endrick is versatile enough to play anywhere across the frontline. He is primarily a centre-forward but can even operate as a winger on either flank if required.
The Brazilian youngster has already shown in youth football that he has a knack for scoring goals. He can even engineer some decent openings for his teammates on the attacking end of the pitch. There is no denying that Endrick has what it takes to become a future star in European football.
His current contract with Palmeiras is set to expire in the summer of 2025. However, the South American sensation is way too young at the moment and would be a big risk for Los Blancos if they have to pay €60m to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
At 16, Endrick is definitely a prospect to watch out for in the future. However, at the moment, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti would be better off not changing his stance on recruiting the Brazilian wonderkid. With €60m, it makes more sense for the Madrid giants to spend it on someone more ready to make an immediate impact at the Bernabeu in the coming seasons.
