Martin Odegaard’s shirt number confirmed after completing Arsenal move, Martin Odegaard has been handed the No.11 shirt after completing his move from Real Madrid to Arsenal.
Some Arsenal fans predicted that Odegaard could be handed Mesut Ozil’s No.10 shirt following the 32-year-old’s switch to Fenerbahce.
But Arsenal have announced that Odegaard will take the No.11 jersey for the rest of the season
The shirt number was vacated by Lucas Torreira last October following the Uruguayan’s loan move to Atletico Madrid.
Odegaard currently wears the No.21 at Real Madrid but that number is currently occupied by Calum Chambers, who last featured for Arsenal in December and is now on the verge of returning from injury
It’s great that we’ve secured Martin to come to us until the end of the season,’ said Arteta after the deal was announced
Martin is of course a player that we all know very well and although still young, he has been playing at the top level for a while.
‘Martin will provide us with quality offensive options and we’re all excited to be integrating him into our plans between now and May.’
