Arsenal will lock horns with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon as they try to pick a result on the road.

The Gunners managed to pull off a dramatic comeback and secure progression into the next round of the UEFA Europa League after earning a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Benfica over two legs.

Therefore, Mikel Arteta will be hoping that his players are confident enough to cause the Foxes some problems in the Premier League this weekend.

The North London giants will set themselves up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his starting XI for this game. Mohamed Elneny, Pablo Mari and Nicolas Pepe are all in line to start, but Arteta will be sweating on the fitness of Rob Holding, who is still recovering from a concussion.

Defence

Bernd Leno will operate in goal for the Gunners after allowing two goals versus Benfica in midweek.

Arteta could opt for a centre-back pairing of David Luiz and Pablo Mari with the hope that they can neutralise the threat of Leicester’s Jamie Vardy during the 90 minutes.

Hector Bellerin will probably function at right-back while Kierney Tierney looks to produce another fruitful display as the left-back.

Both of them will be given the license to get forward and cause some headaches for the opposition with their running out on the wide areas.

Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny will assume the responsibilities of the holding midfielders as they focus on getting a stranglehold in the game at the centre of the park. The pacey trio of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Nicolas Pepe will play just ahead of them as part of the Arsenal attack.

Therefore, he will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net against Brendan Rodgers’ men on Sunday.

Alexandre Lacazette will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if Arteta decides to call upon his services
