According to sources in Italy, Arsenal has ramped up their efforts to capture Arthur Melo after speaking with the Juventus midfielder’s agent.

Mikel Arteta wants the Gunners to acquire the Brazilian midfielder before the end of the January transfer season to enhance his options.

Juventus, on the other hand, has been hesitant to let the 25-year-old leave without first securing a replacement.

Arsenal are continuing their pursuit of Arthur, according to Gianluca Di Marzio of Goal Italy. The Gunners want to sign the midfielder on loan for the remainder of the season.

Arthur, on the other hand, is eager to join Arsenal and has already spoken with Edu and Arteta about the possibility of a move to the Premier League.

Arthur has struggled to make an impact since joining Juventus from Barcelona in 2020, but he has recently been in fine form for Juventus, putting up a remarkable performance in their Coppa Italia victory over Sampdoria on Tuesday evening.
