Chelsea are keeping tabs on Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli with a view to making a move for the Brazilian.
The 21-year-old has been in fine form for the Gunners this term and already has three goals to his name.
The winger has cemented a spot in the Gunners’ starting line-up and has won over Mikel Arteta, who initially had doubts about him.
Martinelli earned a move to north London in 2019 and he earns a reported £50,000-a-week, having signed improved terms just 12 months into his stay at the club.
The Brazilian has now outgrown that deal given his importance to the side and the Gunners are keen on tying him down to a new contract.
Martinelli’s current deal runs until 2025 but Arsenal already want to give him a new deal in order to thwart interest elsewhere.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are one of a number of interested parties in Martinelli and they’re keeping a close eye on his situation.
There’s reportedly interest from elsewhere in the Premier League, with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool keen on boosting their attacking ranks.
