Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has committed to his first new role since leaving Italian champions Inter Milan after being warned off replacing Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.

The Italian boss departed the San Siro over the summer after falling out with the Serie A club over the financial constraints that their owners were imposing.

That means he is arguably the top free-agent boss in world football, having won six league titles over the course for f his managerial career, with including Premier League title during his time at Stamford Bridge.

One club who could soon be picking up the phone to the Italian is Arsenal, who have endured a disastrous start to the Premier League season and are still goalless after three games.

Having finished eighth in the top-flight last season, the pressure is beginning to ramp up on Mikel Arteta, with his side currently sitting bottom of the table.

In-demand manger Antonio Conte would appear to be the prime candidate to take over if the Spaniard is indeed sacked by the struggling Gunners board.

But it appears that the Italian boss is not expecting such a call to happen any time soon, having already confirmed his next role.

Rather than in a dugout, the former Inter and Chelsea boss will be taking up a position on the punditry panel for an Italian TV channel.

That channel with be Sky Sport Italia, with Conte becoming a special studio guest for their coverage of the Champions League and international football.

One of the station’s journalists, Gianluca Di Marzio, confirmed the news with a post on Instagram, which showed him with Conte.

‘It’s done. Antonio Conte on loan to Sky Sport Italia with an option to buy until the next dugout. Welcome, Antonio!’ the caption of the post wrote.

Antonio Conte will join a team which includes former Leicester star Esteban Cambiasso, Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero, ex-England coach Fabio Capello and West Ham United icon Paolo Di Canio.
