Arsenal is looking at Gremio winger Everton after struggling to persuade Crystal Palace to sell Wilfried Zaha.
Crystal Palace rejected an initial £40m offer for Zaha and Arsenal are now considering the Copa America star.
The Gunners do remain confident of landing Celtic defender Kieran Tierney.
They are haggling over the £25m fee after having a second bid rejected by Celtic.
Unai Emery also wants a new centre half and midfielder with Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos on their radar.
Ceballos, 22 could be available on a season-loan but Tottenham is also keen on the Spaniard.
Meanwhile, Gunner’s boss Emery has got tough with former France defender Laurent Koscielny after revealing he spoke to him three times before the club captain went on strike and missed the US tour.
There appears no way back for Koscielny, 33, who wants to quit after a bitter row over a contract and he has been left at home to train with the under-23s.
Arsenal has also gone back to the future in search of history with the launch of their new “bruised banana” away kit.
The new yellow and blue jersey is a throwback to those worn by the likes of Ian Wright for two seasons between 1991 and 1993.
Arsenal legend Wright stars in an emotive video that was used to promote the new kit – part of a new £60m-a-year deal with Adidas – with the club currently in the States.
Wright said: “We’ve got great history, a history that we made. Passion, pride and beautiful feet. No matter how time passes, it can never be forgotten.
“But we can always make more as long as there are others who want it. And we will. Cos that’s what this shirt is for.”
Whether Everton Soares will be donning Arsenal’s new kit next season remains to be seen.
