Arsenal Reportedly Sign William Saliba, Premier League giants Arsenal are now reportedly close to signing Tottenham Hotspur target William Saliba.

Saliba is currently one of the most wanted French players in Europe and the 18-year-old appeared in 16 games for Saint Etienne last season, impressing in the league and attracting the attention of clubs across Europe.

The former Roma target has now agreed on a move to Arsenal, having agreed on personal terms with the Gunners despite strong interest from Tottenham in recent weeks.

The reliable Mohamed Bouhafsi claims that a fee of 30 million euros has been agreed on Arsenal and ASSE with the bonuses yet to be decided in a possible deal.

Arsenal is to sign the St Etienne defender William Saliba and loan him back to the French club for the 2019-20 season. The coveted 18-year-old has agreed to a five-year deal with the Gunners and the two clubs are only minor details away from concluding the transfer.

Unai Emery, the Arsenal manager, is having to work with a restricted budget this transfer window but the deal for Saliba will not affect any potential signings this summer.

Arsenal has tracked Saliba for some time and has beaten a host of clubs to his signature. The defender made his debut for St Etienne in September 2018 and made 16 league appearances for the club last season. He has played for France at all age groups from under-16 to under-20 level.

In a potential Squad overhaul that has seen the highly-rated Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli, 18 years old join from Ituano and have seen a host of players leave as well including Aaron Ramsey, Danny Welbeck, Stephan Lichtsteiner and David Ospina.

Edu, the club’s former midfielder, was also unveiled as the new technical director on Tuesday. “In his role as technical director, Edu will coordinate the work of our first-team coaching group, the academy and player scouting, and recruitment in order to oversee the constant building up and efficient strengthening of our squad,” the club said in a statement.
